Time is unstoppable. It is unchanging and will never surrender. Once something is done, it is done. It was always going to happen, and always has happened. Under no circumstances will that change. (Except perhaps in the movies, but that's different). Once you come to the conclusion that time is already written, even though you might have only started the book, you begin to look at life, at all your mistakes a little differently. This doesn't mean, of course, you should run around stealing and cheating. But it is something to think about, and for me it's comforting.
