Girls spend hours stressing, trying to look pretty. Their hair has to be perfect, their makeup has to be perfect, and their outfits have to be perfect.
Guys spend all their money on cards, chocolate, flowers, and dates.
The date ultimately goes horribly anyway, with the girl in tears and the guy regretting life (much like me).
Then of course are the young, single people who think Valentine's Day will be beautiful and happy with rainbows and unicorns. Obviously, all their hopes and dreams are crushed.
And finally are the single people sobbing and eating ice cream, regardless to the pain and suffering they escaped.
